Everton summer of spending continued late yesterday afternoon as the Blues confirmed the signing of exciting Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru.
The pacy 20-year-old joinss from Belgian side Eupen for a fee beleived to be £6.8million, becoming the Club’s third confirmed signing of the 2017 summer transfer window.
The Blues beat off interest from both Arsenal and West Ham and secured his services by matching his buy out clause.
Onyekuru, has signed a five-year contract until the end of June 2022, joins on the back of a prolific 2016/17 season when he was the Pro League’s joint-top scorer with 22 goals.
Henry will spend next season on loan at Belgian champions Anderlecht where he will gain valuable first team experience while playing in the Champions League.
Times have changed at the Blues and the positivity keeps flowing, more signings in the offing next week too. That Moshiri is a right fraud though….!
