Today Everton confirmed that Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson had left the club on permanent deals to Sunderland.
The day started by Paul Joyce of the Express confirming the pair were due in Sunderland to undergo medicals. Twitter went into overdrive and later this afternoon Everton confirmed both deals.
The deal for the pair will bring in £7.5million, which considering both players’ injury record is brilliant news.
Bryan leaves with a heavy heart, a real true professional and top guy and we wish him well. Gibson unfortunately struggled with injuries, drink and the occasional cyclist. Another talented player but struggled to stay on the field long enough to show his true worth.
Unfortunately Moyes chose not to activate his three for two offer and has left Kone at home. If we could shift him on it would truly have been a brilliant January.
Come on you Blues.
