This afternoon it was announced that Kevin Mirallas has signed a new three-year contract that will keep the 27-year-old at Goodison until June 2018.
This marks a great couple of days off the pitch for the club. Firstly tying James McCarthy down to a new five-year deal and now confirming that ‘Super Kev’ has followed suit by signing a new deal.
Similar to McCarthy, Mirallas had been linked away from the club in the close season with both Spurs and West Ham chasing his signature.
Mirallas like so many others endured an injury hit season last year but he did finish our second highest scorer last season with 11 goals in all competitions.
On his day he is a match winner and I am delighted he has pledged his future to the club.
Just don’t steal any penalties this year hey Kev?!
Come on you Blues!
